We will send you an email as soon as your refund is confirmed. From this point, a refunded card payment takes up to three business days, depending on the speed of your bank. A refunded bank transfer takes up to five working days, depending on the speed of your bank.
If your transfer status is “transfer cancelled”, then your refund will begin automatically, you do not need to contact us in this case. The status will change to “transfer refunded” when this happens. Please check your email for any further information.
If your payment was rejected by your bank, the transfer status will say “Payment rejected”. In this case your card has not been charged by us, but the funds may have been frozen by your bank. We advise contacting your bank using the telephone number shown on the reverse side of your debit/credit card.
Some more information about credit card pre-authorisation:
- It is a temporary hold on the funds, not a charge against your account.
- It may show up as a pending transaction on the cardholder’s card statement.
- It will be released back to the cardholder. The duration of the hold is decided by the cardholder's bank.
