You can check the delivery methods available to your country of choice via the homepage of the Azimo website or by tapping “New transfer” in the Azimo app.
More information about our delivery methods:
Direct to bank
A direct to bank transfer is delivered to your recipient’s bank account. Please double-check your recipient’s bank details before confirming your transfer. The account holder’s name should match the name registered with their bank.
If you do make a mistake, please contact us as soon as possible via the support centre, though bear in mind that not all transfers made in error can be retrieved.
Cash pick-up
A cash pick-up transfer can be collected in cash from more 200,000 pick-up locations around the world. We work with local partners and banks that process all cash pick-up transfers on behalf of Azimo.
Once your payment has been processed, you will receive an email notification with pick-up instructions. Please make sure to provide the recipient’s email address in the optional field on the transfer form if you want us to send the pick-up instructions to them as well. Your recipient can collect the money up to 30 days after it is delivered.
In the unlikely event that the pick-up location cannot provide the cash, please ask your recipient to try another pick-up location. If this is not possible, please contact us via our support centre.
SWIFT
SWIFT transfers are sent via the SWIFT international payment network. You can make SWIFT transfers to more than 100 countries around the world in major currencies including GBP, USD and EUR.
You’ll need a SWIFT-BIC code as it allows us to identify your recipient’s local bank.
Important information to note:
The receiving bank might charge a handling fee to receive a SWIFT transfer.
Most transfers are delivered within 24 hours.
Please double-check the details before sending, as it takes up to three weeks to refund a rejected SWIFT transfer.
The receiving account must be held in the chosen currency.
Mobile wallet
A mobile wallet is an electronic wallet that allows you to store, send and receive money on your mobile phone. You can send up to 20 mobile wallet transfers per month with Azimo.
With Azimo, you can send money within minutes to mobile wallets in many countries including Armenia, Burkina Faso, Fiji, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Nepal, the Philippines, Romania and Sri Lanka.
Mobile top-up
Mobile top-up transfers add credit to your recipient’s local mobile number. Credit can only be used for phone calls, text messages or internet data. All Mobile top-ups are processed within minutes.
